1. Introduction

Welcome to Cyprus Polyglot Academy. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and language learning services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Cyprus Polyglot Academy ("we," "us," or "our"). We may modify these Terms at any time by posting the revised Terms on our website. Your continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Service Description

Cyprus Polyglot Academy provides language learning courses and related educational services. Our services include, but are not limited to, in-person classes, online courses, language learning resources, educational materials, and assessment tools. The specific services available to you will depend on the particular course or program you enroll in.

3. Registration and User Accounts

To access certain features of our services, you may need to register for an account. When you register, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

You may not share your account credentials with any third party. You may not transfer your account to another person. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we suspect any unauthorized use.

4. Course Enrollment and Fees

To enroll in our courses, you must complete the registration process and pay the applicable fees. All fees are stated in Euros (€) and are subject to change without notice. Payment is required at the time of enrollment unless otherwise specified.

By enrolling in a course, you commit to paying the full course fee, regardless of your attendance or completion of the course. We offer no refunds or credits for missed classes, except as specified in our refund policy.

5. Refund Policy

Our refund policy is as follows:

  • For group courses, we offer a full refund if canceled more than 14 days before the start date.
  • For group courses, we offer a 70% refund if canceled 7-14 days before the start date.
  • No refunds are provided for cancellations less than 7 days before the course begins.
  • For private lessons, 24-hour notice is required for cancellation or rescheduling without charge.
  • Special circumstances may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

To request a refund, you must contact us directly. All refund requests will be processed within 14 business days.

6. Attendance and Course Completion

You are expected to attend all classes and complete all required assignments for the courses you enroll in. We reserve the right to dismiss you from a course if your attendance falls below 70% without valid reason, or if you consistently fail to complete coursework.

Certificates of completion or achievement will only be issued to students who have satisfied all course requirements, including attendance, assignments, and assessments.

7. Code of Conduct

You agree to follow our code of conduct while using our services:

  • Treat all staff, instructors, and fellow students with respect and courtesy.
  • Do not engage in any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior.
  • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of other students.
  • Do not disrupt classes or interfere with the learning experience of others.
  • Use our facilities and resources responsibly and in accordance with their intended purpose.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

We reserve the right to remove you from a course or terminate your access to our services if you violate this code of conduct.

8. Intellectual Property

All content provided as part of our services, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations, and software, is the property of Cyprus Polyglot Academy or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, display, perform, or otherwise use any of our content without our prior written consent. You may download or print a single copy of any portion of our content for personal, non-commercial use, provided that you do not remove any copyright or other proprietary notices.

9. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit, post, or display on or through our services ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display such User Content in connection with providing our services.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to your User Content and that your User Content does not infringe or violate the rights of any third party.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cyprus Polyglot Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use our services; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on our services; or (c) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the amount you paid to us during the 12-month period preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cyprus Polyglot Academy and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses, including legal fees and costs, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of our services or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to our services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use our services will immediately cease.

All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Cyprus, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using our services.
